EqD started on /co/. He took all the art, all the fics, and Seth made a name for himself.

Then he decided not to have any m/m shipping, because he's a homophobic hypocrite. /co/ made fun of him for it, and Seth decided to leave /co/.

Seth pretended to be sorry, but then a couple of weeks later he posted this weird homophobic screed from some nutcase who wanted to kill f/f/ shippers. We made fun of him for post that too.

He pretty much decided to divorce himself from /co/ after that. That's where he came up with the pre-readers idea. Not because they improve the quality of the stories, he just wants to screen them from blatant bigoted rants.

So the quality of the blog continued to decline as he ignored the best contributors and looked for stuff from ponychan. He clearly cares nothing about quality control, and posts anything that would bring in hits.

No one here really cares about EqD anymore. Except for Nathan. He won't shut up about how great it is, because he's a pre-reader now. Of course, a few months ago he used to bitch and bitch and bitch about EqD, and how he wanted to start his own pony fiction website. Because his precious stories weren't getting enough attention. But that's Nathan for you.

Seth won't let /co/ go. A few weeks ago, there was talk of making the old Derpyhooves site into a much improved blog over EqD. Seth freaked out. Suddenly he started carrying about what /co/ thought. Added the news only feature, and so on.

The thing about Seth expecting us to get mad over his fursonas is that /co/ already went through its OC phase like 2 weeks ago when we finally discussed OCs, how they're designed, and admitted that we had them, even if we would never post them or they're not meant to be self-inserts. We also established in concrete terms what makes an OC acceptable, and what doesn't.

We already got all that out of our system. The only thing left was a whole lot of "yeah that's pretty dumb I guess" and Seth claiming that everyone was raging really hard.

Disregarding Sethisto's faggotry, what do you guys think of Trixie? I delight in the humor of her glamorous attempts at buffing her own super-ego. I like when characters think so highly of themselves that they refer to themselves in third person.

It gives me that good 'John Lithgow' feeling; don't know how to explain it. That huge sense of self-confidence and worth makes a character really enjoyable, regardless of how much a dick they are.

I do love John Lithgow. There's never been a role he's been in that I've seen and not enjoyed. Everyone in 3rd Rock was great, better than great, and he STILL carried that show on his back. Trixie time? I personally think that the whole third person egomaniac thing is just her stage persona. She keeps it up in front of Snips & Snails because she doesn't want to disappoint her fans.

You'll notice it slips a little bit after the Ursa shows up and Twilight identifies it as a Minor. After all her stuff is smashed, she puts it back on to at least attempt to keep it together while she leaves. Like retreating into a protective shell. The fact that she flubs her disappearance is evidence of the fact that she was deeply distressed by that night's events.

All the stuff she did to the mane cast during the show was just dealing with hecklers. Comedians do it all the time.

Every popular character in this fandom has that one "fan" attached to them that shit things up for everybody else. Some are cursed to have more than one. Seth is actually rather smalltime, in regards to that. I don't even want to imagine what it must be like being a Fluttershy fan and having to share the Fluttershy sandbox with some of the real freaks that like her too.

As for Trixie, I think she's a fantastic design. The whole wizard garb thing she's got going on is just hilarious and I adore her third person dialogue. I enjoy her snooty demeanor too. Some people are put off by it, but I like it. She fits that niche, like Vegeta, Raphael, or other very arrogant characters do. Characters like that aren't always immediately popular, but for those that do like them, they receive a fierce fan following.

If Trixie gets to return, and I'm pretty sure she will, I hope she is some sort of recurring foil. Just comical fun, where it works the best in this show.
