!!cJ4MGVqvOKw 08/29/11(Mon)18:31 No.29183681>>29183523 Have you written anything before, man? Thanks for the compliment, but I don't think it's fair to make that judgment without a comparison, you know? You've certainly got better ideas than I do. Still, it's just something I'm really thinking about, you know? The anthropomorphisation is hard enough when you're trying to write something and avoid saying "hands", it just gets nightmarish when it comes to the actual, meta-theoretical stuff, the content that actually counts. It's why I don't think it's possible to ever really be happy with something written for this fandom - I haven't read anything so far, except maybe Dangerous Business, that avoids the issue of humanisation, you know? Everything is human at the most rudimentary level. It's a real problem. I figure someone'll hit it eventually, though. I think I mentioned this before (excuse me for constantly bringing up shit I haven't gotten around to writing, haha) but I'm actually thinking about it because I've got this request on my mind about a storyteller, in the vein of Trixie, who uses unicorn magic to tell pony stories, you know? With more than just sounds, but sights, smells, tastes, scents for the intradiegetic viewers. It's going to be an exploration of pony culture on an oratory level and I really want to get it right, and the best place for me to sponge ideas is here, haha! |
