I've been thinking lately about why I enjoy these god damn ponies so much and I've arrived at a conclusion. My life is crap, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this sentiment, and these god damn ponies and their fan community is one of the few things that make me smile no matter how bad i'm feeling or how shitty my day was, I can turn to a god damn show for little girls to make me smile. So for all our arguments, our bullshit and wanking that the fan community does I have to say that this, at the end of the day, makes me happy, and i can't ask for much more.

Welp, the guy who's drawing Dis/co/rd here - People were more interested in discusing what Harmony would look like if it was a being and not just a bunch of stones and gems. That is, If it didn't just possess Celestia.

So here you go. I tried to make it as opposite with Dis/co/rd as I could - Instead of being a Devil-Centaur, Harmony's a Angel-Peacock, Lots of white and very little pink, I put in the original Elements of Harmony on a Halo-esque mantle that is connected to his shirt, I especially gave Harmony the Celestia hair to signify how her hair changed from Pink to the colour we assosiate it with, Dis/co/rd Is Him Red, so Harmony must be Blue (Red Oni/Blue Oni matchup).
But I needed to make it so that they were still similar, so I gave Harmony the same rosey cheeks and similar eyes, just to get the message across that despite being a pair of giant wings with a jacket Harmony can be just as bad as Discord. I also gave him a similar feet layout - they are both wearing heels.

I actually liked a good number of Thiessen's responses, all things considered. Sure, there's a lot of drudge, contractual ambiguity, and idiotic or repetitive questions, but for the most part it leaves an optimistic impression.

Obviously he's not going to say "this show is shit," but at least he seems to enjoy himself and his work so his approval of the show doesn't seem like an automatic response. That, and he pretty much states the interest show comes first, tries to keep in the spirit of Faust's concepts, and tries to keep a fair balance of what drew us into the show in the first place with the target demographic.

I did. Wasn't as thorough read as I'd normally give (some fanfics I read word for word others my mind just absorbs the concepts).

Basically in the same way Independence Day is supposed to be an actiony mindlessly patriotic movie and Twilight appeals to girls who don't understand how relationships work, Past Sins aimed to build up a cute pony and then make a dramatic story about it. yeah, I know. But simply from a practical comparison, trixie just has confidence in the voice, not that the voice is confident only that the VA is sure of what she's doing with it. Gilda isnt as strong in that respect. That said, twilight occasionally falters a bit, but you can kind of incorporate that into the character a bit. Not so with gilda

I see what you're saying. Confidence is key to the character, and yeah, Trixie's VA did come across as incredibly confident, both in the performance and as the character. Still, I don't know, man, all I can say is I enjoyed it.

I like Gilda but only because of how cute she is in my mind. In the show she had the whole attitude thing, but she was a bit of a bitch. She seemed to me more like the tough girl who was hard to get along with but once you were in, you were in tight.

As a griffin she probably purrs when she's content or sleepy/happy, but she lets out these super adorable chirps when she gets VERY excited or happy. She'd hate it because she'd think it didn't make her look very cool, so it would rarely happen, but everytime you'd hear it you'd grin like an idiot.

Damn it, Gilda. You weren't supposed to be this adorable.
