Haven't read it, couldn't check in my thoughts on that..
But I will say that given the lack of manual dexterity in non-unicorn ponies, the only guns that would work really would be either extremely complicated and very hard to maintain by a non-unicorn, or they'd be so simple that you'd be looking at cannons and rocket systems which would lend to very short fights with no reloading involved. It'd be more like, "Engage, fire, run in and finish the fighrt hoof-to-hoof"
Now, with a unicorns general purpose telekinesis available, all bets are off, because they can emulate the manual dexterity needed to operate a firearm in the same manner that we as humans are accustomed to.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter, since the concept is so exceptionally silly, all you HAVE to do is leave it vague. I seriously doubt the core audience of FO:E knows enough about firearms to care about the technical details |
