I found a Fluttershy toy today. From the looks of it, it wasn't one of those McDonalds toys, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure they have molded tails.

Anyway, I found it walking to my local gas station for a Gripp N' Sipp. It was laying on the side of the road. It was all battered and dirty and dinged up, and the tail was ripped out of it's butt pretty harshly. The color is worn, so it just looks like a sickly, homeless, abused Fluttershy.

Too many angle...this can be solved by not placing anchors along the line but instead just placing the end points and then dragging curved anchors out (I'm using all the wrong terms here, but hopefully it makes sense) and creating bends manually.

A tablet is just another tool. I use a tablet all the time, but I draw better by hand, I believe. I can't do wacky shit like layers by hand, though, so it's a tradeoff.

Those speed vids are usually done by people who've been doing similar things for a long, long time. One of the things we learned in our speedpainting class is to not worry about erasing at all unless it's something major. You should be working fast and loose. If it's anything like we've done, that speed work is usually done at an absurd resolution so that you can't see minor imperfections and you can just worry about the picture itself. If you zoom in on any real speed painting it looks like a mess, but that really just serves to make the overall product more badass in my opinion.

Also if you just do those backlines and guides on a different layer you can just hide them or delete them in the end so they don't really matter.
