I personally don't care for Trixie. I don't see how or why she needs to return. But I do hope Gilda comes back. She had a pre-existing relationship with a main character, so there's multiple story ideas. Trixie was a show pony, she was a bullshitter and she took off, there really wasn't much else she needed to do.
Also, it would be such a waste of a nice character design to have her not return.
