From what we saw, she went a bit crazy due to being ignored, tried to take over the world, forgave and was forgiven by her sister, and was shocked when the ponies of Ponyville forgave her too. Having the one character who still has the potential to not be eccentric or crazy in some shape or form (besides the whole "used to be Nightmare Moon" thing, obviously) means that because she appears normal, what she is is normal by extension, you know? She's plain, mundane, despite being an alicorn. Like I said, I can't really explain myself. It just made a whole lot of sense in my head.
>>28905749 I'd forgotten about that. I love FPK, but yeah, as soon as I watched it I just knew there'd be a massive reaction to it. I guess I just come from that weird camp that thinks children should be taught life lessons - societal norms, morals, discipline and the like - from as young an age as possible, and acceptance is one of those life lessons. But fuck my opinions, they're pretty shit anyway. |
