It seems reasonable. There's no way they get lift with those tiny things, but they're obviously not just for show given that young ponies with weak wings have been shown to have trouble flying/not being able to fly.

Plus, they obviously have a normal amount of mass to them, so the magic in their wings would keep them from falling through clouds too, right?

So if a Pegasus lost one wing, would they still be able to fly/walk on clouds?

Well if you compare Canterlot to most high class places then the cost of living is much greater then it would be in Ponyville.

It's likely that Rarity has only been on her own for a couple years and her business has just now started to take off. If she wanted she could probably move to Canterlot and set up shop there.

How successful she would be there though is an entirely different story. She would have to be very well known as I am sure Canterlot already has a lot of fashion stores set up. So her competition would be fierce. Unlike in Ponyville where she pretty much has the monopoly if someone wants a dress.

No, Rarity will likely never get her dream of high class society living. Either because of money issues or guilt of leaving her friends behind.

I actually had a rather funny idea while at work. I remembered how Applejack had actually gotten a taste of the high life. But does Rarity know about that part of Applejack's life?

I would like a story about how Rarity gets invited to a very high class party, but has to bring a guest along and AJ is the only one available. Queue her trying to teach AJ manners and proper edicate and AJ saying that she will be just fine.

Party comes and Rarity is very nervous that AJ will make a fool out of her by acting uncoth during the party and ends up generally making a fool of herself with her behavior.

Meanwhile AJ is getting along just fine and even becomes the life of the party.

Moral of the story could be that even good friends can still have surprises. And that it isn't nice to assume that you completely know someone.

I think that would depend on how much magic the pegasus naturally has. One wing I think would be just enough for most, but probably not Fluttershy.

Dash is probably a very unique case and wouldn't even need wings because she just has so much raw magic flowing through her. It's probably why she is able to make the Sonic Rainboom in the first place. That much magic translates into just that much speed that she is able to do it.

No other Pegasus has come close to Rainbow Dash speed.

I think there is a high chance of Season 2 having an episode where Dash breaks her wing and has to deal with not being able to do what she loves for a bit.

Ok, ok, let´s discuss something more related than the silly fan theories of everyday.

Celestia is thousands of years old and does not seem to know what a parasprite is, yet she saw Pinkie driving them out of the town.

Then proceeds to tell Twilight that she has to go to Phillydelphia to deal with a creature infestation.

My theories are:

1- Celestia knew what was going on but didn´t want to embarass Twilight. Perhaps she now saw that everything was under control.

2- This reeks as if Celestia has another group of mane 6 in Fillydelphia but they were not as competent as the ones in Ponyville and has to go help them get rid of the parasprites.
