The gas is blackened with soot and volcanic ash, and the hammer strikes of the many blacksmiths ring out into the open as thunderous cracks. This combination of elements gives the mountain a look of being surrounded by a massive localized thunderstorm, hence the name 'Mount Fauxsquall'.
