What if equestria is a planet that doesn't rotate anymore, and it's tidally locked with it's sun

I mean, it wasn't always like this. It did for a long time, it facilitated highly advanced life. That life created massive systems to force the planet to rotate and the moon to move to sustain the tides the moment they saw the end of a moving planet draw near. They also created AI to manage those systems, and matter manipulating technology as part of those systems.

Through a lot of wars with robots and the eventual extinction of those original life forms, AI came to dominate what is now equestria, and in a quest for humanity, they modeled themselves after the first lifeform that popped up in their half-assed memory banks - ponies. And then made the matter manipulation technology nanomachines so they could use it even after going full wetware.
