Well, just finished the "prelude" chapter. So far it's not as offensively bad as you guys make it out to be...It just seems really wordy and overly descriptive.

I think I could see what you guys were talking about with characters acting out of character, though. There hasn't been much yet, but I guess it was hard to hear Twilight's voice in her dialogue. Also, Celestia converting the library in the town center to a base of operations after performing an arrest in the middle of the forest? That...doesn't exactly make a lot of sense.

Protip: Past Sins isn't that popular. Nyx is popular. Because she has a cute character design (not drawn by the fanfic author, by the way) that lends itself well to fanart. Her design is cute, and rare for an OC, simple and distinct without being a recolor. This is much more to the credit of artists than the writer of Past Sins.

I'm just looking over this thread, and I mad. I'm the guy from before who said he browses the 6 star equestria mostly for fics, and I asked /co/ to suggest some.

Around 3/4 of the fics recommended here are in the 6 star section.
Then when people ask where to find fanfiction, and I suggest the 6 star as a start (with a warning that quality varies) I get a bunch of people raging at me and telling me EqD has no taste and all the good fics are not there and are unappreciated by the "plebians" (real quote)
