Losing one generation of artists and creative people is hardly a reason to lament, it just means we all get to share in creating a new goup of talent. I, personally, happen to think that's really cool. And the old favorites still post here from time to time.

They're apparently immortal beings that grew to a physical age equivalent of adulthood, really who's to say. They could be ten of thousands years old, immortals tend to not to die unless you hit them with a spell intended to kill immortals or chop their heads off.

On the flip side, I remember reading a deviant art post of Lauren Fausts that basically said the only reason we've never seen their parents is because Disneys gotten kids to think queens are evil so she made them princesses and never showed their parents. So they could be relatively young. Albeit over 1000 years old.

1. The pace of the episode never, ever wanes. Most episodes have at least one or two "boring" parts, for me. GIYC does not. I love every second and every line of dialogue in the entire episode.

2. Every featured character (FS, R, PP and TS) is hilarious throughout. I'm one of those people who thinks FS is more funny than she is adorable, and she cracks me up in this episode, as do the rest of them.

3. Fluttershy and Rarity are my favorite characters, and they're prominently featured; so naturally I'm going to love the episode (as long as both of them stay in character, which they sure as hell do).

That's it, really.

It's unlikely I'll ever write anything longer than one single-spaced page. I really have no interest in writing anything significant. The quickie stuff is fine for me, especially if people are using it to draw comics.
