As mentioned, I'm sure it was pre-readers who had qualms with it, not you personally. Honestly I really don't think it's my best work, so I'm surprised I got so upset over it, but I was actually excited I might get published on the OMG MOST FAMOUS PONY BLOG EVAR.

I had justfications for my stylistic narrative choices, but I didn't bother mentioning them in a reply because far be it for me to assume I know shit about writing over people who read thousands of pieces of fiction a day. It made sense to ME, and other people who read it, but I see the alternative viewpoints as well, and I'm not going to waste anyone's time struggling to explain why I thought my story might be good. Fiction is at the whim of the reader for an initial impression, and it shouldn't require my explanation to make it enjoyable.

It's not the niche little subculture it used to be. I miss the old /co/ days sometimes too. But seeing it expand beyond 4chan was always my goal. I want this show to last several seasons, not just 2.
