FO:E has a few problems. The narration seems trip up whenever a large fight is going on. Everyone is all over the place and it has trouble identifying who's doing what when the whole "party" is together. A good example of this is the train fight in one of the early chapters.

Another thing that bothers me is Calamity's constant written accent. When I first started out writing, I made the mistake of writing AJ out in her southern twang. I didn't think much of it at the time, having read this I realize how annoying it really is. I could drone on and on about the other things wrong with this piece, but I'll hold off on that.

Ok so Twilight keeps Nyx from a play ( the play is the first two episodes mind you) where she is NMM so she isn't discovered by Celestia and Luna who are attending.
Nyx makes a daw face and get the key from the owl but ruins her cardboard wings so she instead uses her real wings( wings that till now have been hidden so people don't see that she is an alicorn) and still go to the play disobeying a direct and firm order from Twilight.

Yeah. I think that's why some fanfic authors go with OCs - it's easy to write something you come up with yourself and keep it consistent than to try mimicry. Mimicry's a very valuable skill for a writer, though - Stephen Sondheim prizes himself on that.
