08/03/11(Wed)23:58 No.28362368Twilight Sparkle: Has a full-ride scholarship from Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, which she's milking for every last bit as she pursues her post-graduate studies.
Applejack: Manages, but doesn't own outright, Sweet Apple Acres. The farm is a trust held by the extended Apple clan, and Applejack is working her tail off trying to prove she's a good estate manager despite her youth.
Rainbow Dash: A flight school drop-out, hired by Ponyville's mayor to do cloud-clearing. It's a minimum-wage job, basically the pegasus equivalent of a street-sweeper, but Rainbow Dash is too lazy to look for more profitable work.
Rarity: Independently wealthy thanks to her talent in finding gemstones. Running the Carousel Boutique is actually just a hobby for her; she really doesn't need the money it brings in. Still, she takes it as seriously as if her livelihood depended upon it, because that's the way Rarity rolls.
Fluttershy: Appears to make a modest living as a park ranger, veterinarian, and animal groomer. It's obviously not enough to afford the big house she lives in, nor the animal menagerie living with her, which means she has some other source of income none of the other ponies knows about. Fluttershy is a pony of many secrets, some of which we're probably better off not knowing.
Pinkie Pie: Works part-time in Sugarcube Corner, enough to pay for the garret apartment she lives in. Is actually dirt-poor from spending all her wages on parties for her friends, but is too crazy to realize it. |
