+ magic combinations are fun to toy around with.
- equipments are limited, such as two gloves (atk up) only and etc.
- the 3D enviroment could use work (sloppy movement and jutting jumping mechanism doesn't work well in a platformesque game)
- flying monsters in parts of the game fall down when they reach outside the walking area (they're walking monsters with an raised hitbox basically) so if you're up high and ONE of them falls down you have to go down and kill it to lock up the door that's on the top.
- prices are way fucked. Buy something once? now it costs twice to buy again! This is especially aggravating with your health as Ferromin (Permanent HP+) gets really expensive after a while, and even then some sorts dissapear after you progress in the story to be replaced with more expensive ones.)

well, you start off with the basic slash-slash-slash and jump-slash, but you can buy an aqua gem to put in an equipment slot to use a charged swing attack, later on a wind gem allows for faster slashing attacks (no charge) and so far the last one I know of is a Void Gem with a charging attack for charge (you can only have one gem equipped at a time.)
Then, again, there's the magic attacks. You wound monsters, they drop various magicgems, they do various stuff. as the game progresses you can use more of them in combination as charge attack to make them more powerful. You can only hold six of them, and you use the one furthest to the left in your inventory and you can't rearrange them or drop them.
And watch out for the eye-bats. they hurt.

Actually, my old fics got a lot of attention. They still do.

When I started writing fapfics, it was only for the guy who requested them. It still is, matter of fact. The requester is still the only person I'm trying to please. If everybody stopped reading, I'd still finish these requests. It took me a couple of months to realize just how much these stories get read. It was a happy bonus.

I understand it's just a decently written gorefic, but the reason it's significant has nothing to do with whether or not people were 'grossed out' by it; it's important as a jumping off point for the fandom, an exploration into territory entirely anathema to the show. I'm sure it wasn't the first piece of fan-work to be published that was so wildly off-base from what the show was about, but it's one of the most noteworthy because it was most people's first exposure to that kind of stuff.

Plus, whether or not the descriptive imagery grossed you out, the subject matter is still pretty unsettling.

It never went over the top. It was just a straight up, poorly written snuff fic.

Graphic violence and torture isn't very effective when the whole picture is shown, it's just tasteless. It needs a psychological element to ride on, like Funny Games, in that there's never a single death shown onscreen, but it's probably the most psychologically upsetting film ever made.
