Twilight is like, level 16 or so. She can cast some fun spells, things like fireball are no problem. She probably also has disintigrate, not to mention fly, true seeing, invisibility, and a host of other useful things.

Trixie is more like level 3. She can do a few Magic Missiles, and Prestidigitation, but thats about it. She was probably the best from her small home town, but Twilight is an experienced adventurer.
