important details to note are low posture, walking away from him, and near arm control (try to get into the habit of grasping guys around their hands instead of wrists whatever position you are in, thumb in their palm and around the knuckles ideally (around the fingers is good too, but can slip out if sweaty, around the palm+thumb is also fine, but not ideal), it much harder to break since he cant twist his hand around the wrist, and it also kills his forearm muscles, taking away some of his power (and also puts the wrist into top wrist lock/double wrist lock)). now, unless youve got a chest like ed lewis you arnt gona make him tap just by squeezing his head, so dont waste your energy, but aslong as you maintain balance and keep away from his legs, he will run out of energy alot quicker then you will trying to escape.
if you can control his near arm, he wont be able to much at all to you, and that then sets up more techniques.
the exact move really depends on what hes doing, if his arm is strait out you can hook it with a leg for a crucifix entry, if you can bend it and push down you can hook it with your inside leg for the americana variation, if he resists strongly you can whip it the other way and look for an arm triangle entry, if he stops trying to turn into you, hold his arm in the crook of your thigh and sort of roll over him and transition right into a darce choke. if he gets his arms around you, you can turn into him and circle around to a darce, or if you are already low switch to a vice grip choke/neck crank chest compression (i prefer the c-grip here instead of gable grip, lets you put more leverage into it, also, make sure you start circling around really quickly for this one). |
