Now with magic, and with equines, it's more complex. I don't know about you guys, but I can only ship things that have a logical basis in the show. Like ponies that have already been shown to have a connection with each other.

AJ x Dash makes sense, because they're both so competitive with each other in that one episode, you can sort of imagine an attraction there. Also they're both active outdoor ponies, and kind of butch, they fit with each other as lesbians

AJ x Rarity also works because of that opposites attract thing. They hate each others habits, but they're also good friends, it's the typical ANGRY SEX ANGRY SEX thing. There's also a clear line about who would be the "man" in that relationship.

I just haven't seen too much evidence for many other ships in the show itself.

That's actually the only couple of the show I really support, feeling pinkie keen officially hooked me on the idea. Pinkie and the Brain, Twilight keeps trying to find out how Pinkie's creative, out-of-the-box mindset works, while Pinkie is kept from going over the edge thanks to Twilight help keeping her somewhat rooted to reality.
