 >Season 2 opens with Pinkie Pie excited about a new person to Ponyville coming all the way from Strutgart as a foreign exchange student that she gets to take care of
>Train arrives and young grey hair, combed black maned, tie wearing, thick glasses, and neat shirt comes of the train and introduces himself as Niklas. Just Niklas
>Pinkie Pie tries to throw him a party, but he declines, and on further inquiry finds out he doesn't like parties of any kind
>Pinkie Pie keeps trying to change his mind when he gets back home, but isn't successful. Finally starts getting aggressive about trying to make him party, and actually keeping him from studying for a test at school, and causing him to only get a B on it.
>Niklas is furious and chews her out for it. Pinkie Pie feels deflated about it, but then realizes that Niklas still likes to have 'fun', just not 'party' fun.
>Moral of episode is you need to give new ponies space to adjust and not force down what you think is fun on them, as they'll open up in their own time.
>Niklas's role in the rest of the show is debatable. |
