I can only distinguish three, and only because of their noses. You've got to think about every feature, not just the ones inside one of the major forms of the figure (head). What about the jawline? What about the lips? The teeth, the nose, the eyes, the irisi, the eyelashes, the eybrows, the ears, the skull shape. Is the face chiseled? When the character smiles, are there dimples? And again, that's just the head.
For the body, there's the neck. Is it just soft looking, or does it look sinewy? The shoulders, the torso, the arms, the hands, the fingers, the ass, the legs, the feet, the toes. Design can and should extend to EVERY last feature on the body if you want to describe a character. They're supposed to be memorable, they're supposed to stand out, and in this case also be congruous with the other characters since MLP is a gang show. |
