Thanks, I appreciate that. I enjoy writing, and it'll probably all get done. It'll just sit on google docs where only the outgoing will find it, like Preggity. When you write to a niche audience, you don't put it in public. They seem to find you though. Preggity ended with over 10,000 views in the first week or so of it, and it gets several thousand every time there's a new part up. I don't think people have trouble finding it, and I don't have to see what they write or don't write about it. Finding it on a General Thread is a bit less comfortable though.

While you guys are on the subject of Equestrian religion, just as something interesting to point out it is clearly given to us that Celestia and Luna were not always around.

Luna is always referred to as the younger sister which implies she began/was born/whatever after Celestia. This carries the implication that Alicorns ARE born and do have a beginning (and possibly an end).

So how did they come about? Did they form when their celestial equivalent did? If so, why aren't there Alicorns for the other stars and planets? Where is the Alicorn for the planet Equestria is on?

If not, what came before Luna and Celestia? How did they get power over the sun and moon? Did they start out as normal ponies and ascend?

Either way, the implications can be staggering and quite fun to think about.

I concocted a personal conspiracy that I've been nursing. It boils down to the events of 1000 years ago being a lie.

Luna was always in charge of the moon, but Celestia was in charge of keeping the constellation beasts imprisoned in the sky. A third Alicorn governed the rotation of the planets around the sun as well as the spinning of the planets for day and night.

Celestia wanted to trade spots with Luna for a while so that she could watch over and be loved by the ponies too, but Luna refused because she was not yet strong enough to hold off the constellations by herself. Celestia got mad, struck a deal with the constellations and with them forced Luna into imprisonment and took over as ruler and protector of Equestria. The sun Alicorn is too busy maintaining the solar system to worry about it. A careful system of memory alteration and concealment of records has kept her in power ever since.
