Only recently did I watch Midnight Castle, for the first time. I have to say, the elder pony designs have a certain appeal. I'm not sure how they fucked up so hard along the way to G4, but they started out pretty good. I think I saw a little pony in a cheerleader outfit (wat) too, in that episode with the anthro warlock cat lady.

As for Trixie, I think she'd look really good. They were able to sort of get away with ponies in clothing back then, so a wizard garb wouldn't be too hard to wing.

"Dark" doesn't necessarily equal "good". If they had actually taken the time to make the rainbow of light not so much of a random coincidence and hastily planned (It absorbed darkness to become powerful on its own rather than relying on the power of the main characters?
