>Lots of open world, as you said, combat as well as situations based around diplomacy (the majority of them, actually, could be solved with the right words) I'm getting kind of a Mass Effect vibe with this. A lot of times you have the option to either fight or talk your way out of a situation, so that could work.
>Lots of character customization, generally speaking for MLP Color changing, custom tail designs etc.
>Good Flight mechanics I concur. They do fly in the show, at least temporarily, correct?
>Perks/feats Hm, mind expanding? Ideas and such? Maybe like inFamous where after a certain amount of points, you can purchase new abilities, and continue to upgrade them.
>At a low level you go on a cutie-mark quest to choose your "class" and "Skill set" So you start without one, and you get it at the end of the first quest? That would work, definite 'keep it'.
>Every once and a while the light feel is broken by an end-of-the-world situation (Nightmare moon returns, gryphons attempt to invade, all dragons go berserk due to an ancient curse) Long, dramatic quests that require roaming throughout the land to showcase the unique environments produced by cel-shading.
>A Mabinogi-like emphasis on everyday life (you can just wander around as a merchant if you want, I guess...no clue how the game's been since I left it) The ability to ignore the main quest and live a normal life? That's standard fare in most RPGs, so sure.
>players can never become an alicorn. ever. Again, I haven't watched the show, so I'm not quite sure what an Alicorn is. However, I assume they're something like the highest rank of ponies? Maybe the game ends with you becoming one? |
