... This time around, I was standing outside Sugarcube Corner from the start, and I walked in, finally free to do what I want.
Mrs Cake was waiting for me inside, a little chuckle coming from her when she looked me over. "Oh honey, you sure took your time..." I walked up to her, and she gave me a deep kiss on the lips. She leaned a bit forward to whisper in my ear. "I love you." And then, a gentle nibble at my earnub. I hugged her close, and we simply caressed each other for a while. The dream appeared to skip ahead in regards of time, as it was night-time outside while we were still hugging each other for what'd felt like twenty seconds. She inched out of my grasp, and trotted towards the staircase, looking back at me. "Why don't you come to bed? I'm sure you're so... tired..." Her tail waved gently from the left to the right, raised high as she walked up. I started following her, but the staircase grew longer and longer. Odd, that shouldn't happen... I began running up, only for it to be even longer still. I was starting to get desparate, running with all I got until I woke up, the very last moment of it with a glimpse of Mrs Cake laying on the bed, waiting for me, almost within reach. |
