This is the best advice anyone could give at this point.
It's like if you have someone stalking you. It's bad enough what they're doing on their own, but the worst thing you can do is angrily confront them, because they will interpret this as you giving them attention, which will inspire them to keep going.
It's the same exact thing with shitposters, if we stop replying to them not only will the threads contain WAY less off-topic posts but they might even get bored of nobody replying to them and just give up
Of course this is wishful thinking but I really wish that anyone who comes into these threads to complain about how bad the pornographic posts are is only making it worse by having so much posts talking about it. I guarantee you even if we had only 5-10 regular anons who vowed to completely stop responding to off-topic and NSFW posts that we would see a pretty quick increase in post quality
And now that I've said that, I will take my own advice and do just that. |
