Likewise, Big Macintosh would not be attracted to someone like Gilda, as his only concern is getting the most out of every day.
Gilda wouldn't even give Big Macintosh the time of day, if he didn't already blow her off every time they engaged in anything close to interaction. Unlike Rainbow Dash and herself, Big Macintosh is quiet, but he isn't weak like Fluttershy. His physique would be the first thing to attract Gilda. She would like the physical challenge he would give her should they come to a conflict, but because she doesn't know what buttons to press she would be attracted to his mysteriousness as well. Never being able to figure him out, she would spend their time together admiring this quiet cool guy next to her and wondering when she stopped caring about being so cool herself.
Big Macintosh would know exactly how to handle Gilda as she is just as rough and stubborn as Applejack. Unlike Applejack, however, Gilda tends to have a bit of a mean streak towards anything weaker than herself. Big Mac would feel responsible for humbling her strength by challenging it with his own. Not directly of course, but through some sort of physical labor. Gilda, like Rainbow Dash, doesn't easily turn away from a challenge. Afterwards, once Gilda has been defeated, Big Macintosh would admire how much determination and drive she had, but think it relied to heavily on image. He would continue to challenge her and make her think about who she really was as a person and not what image she gave off. Curious to see the good inside her, Big Macintosh would watch her develop and his heart would grow fonder of her with each passing day. |
