Actually, funny you brought that up. I've been thinking about making a MLP game myself. Just something simple, like a side scrolling beat em up/adventure, in the vein of River City Ransom or Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.

I wrote a story and some gameplay scenarios to go with it, but that's still a long way off. Got a lot on my plate to deal with before I start worrying about programing a game...

I've been trying and trying to find a way to do a good MLP/Transformers crossover, but I couldn't make anything work.

Until I realized I was overthinking everything. I just needed to somehow GET THE CHARACTERS TOGETHER, and let the adventure make itself.

So then I realized: humanize the main six. Duh! Problem solved. It's their personalities I'm after, not the fact that they're ponies. And they're far more compelling human characters than anything that's ever shown up in the Transformers multiverse to date.

This is what damn near everyone thinks, but it was one hell of a decade. There are next to no cartoon shows that can be that great for that many years and episodes.

I doubt FiM will make it to the end of season three without slipping up, especially with the require criteria for the episodes. I'd be happy with around 50 great episodes.

A lot of notable cartoons don't make it past 100 episodes -- they generally last 2-6 seasons of 13 episodes each, and MLP, with 26 episodes per season, will be lucky to make it past 2 or 3. Just enough to get to the syndication point, since it's one of the Hub Channel's primary shows at the moment, and where it goes from there is rather ambiguous.

The thing about these older cartoons yet people still talk about them because they receive a certain satisfaction from watching and discussing them. So I don't see how the fanbase regarding this show will just vanish once the series ends.

My theory on the matter is as follows.
An oc can be one of four things. Either significant or insignificant, an avatar nor not.

A significant non avatar is useful for fanfics to populate a world.
An insignificant avatar is fine because I don't care.

But when an avatar is significant, you are saying something.

Everytime you draw something, or write something, baring requests, you are saying this is what you want the world to be, or that you think it would be cool if this were so in the world, or that this is how the story should be.

If you say that YOU should be paired with one of the main characters, you are coming off as very, VERY arrogant. Who are you to say something like that?
