I actually had a similar idea about the humans, except that they come from different dimensions/times.

There'd be a knight human who has a hard time accepting his size in the giant world, and acts high and noble all the time. Then a modern era human who's just sort of accepting to the whole thing, and finally a future human (our future at least), who doesn't accept all the magic stuff and tries to rationalize it all the time.
