The problem is that, while a lot of ponychan is absolutely fine, it also contains an awful lot of stuff we hate. The stuff we go on 4chan to avoid. The egotistic "I'm a better fan than you" users, the "Roll to ship yourself with the main cast" threads, the creepily over-enthusiastic fans that do crazy shit like change their own names, the terrible self-insert roleplay characters, so on, combined with a moderation scheme that doesn't allow anybody to speak out against those things. Ponychan is a perfect representation of what, 6 months ago, we swore the fanbase would never become.

We may both like ponies, but that's where the similarities end.
