>>27416278 Not too long, actually. All it takes is a few straws, some bobby pins, and scalding hot water. Clip the straws down to about the length of the pins, roll a section of hair up in it (as in wrap around once, then roll the straw up the rest of the way, not hand-spin the hair over itself on the roll) then pin it in place. After this, get your faucet going, hot as it will go. (some folks say boil some water, but I've found it makes the curls set up a bit too hard.) Leave it to dry for a day, and remove the straw curlers. Soften the curls up a bit by hand, split a few to get the disjointed poof. I used about four curlers in the mane, and three in the tail, iirc. Honestly the most time consuming part is actually getting the hair to hold while you roll the straw up. Just takes some patience.
Also, picture of a lazy Dash for >>27416273. If you really want to go balls-out, you can get two Dashes, and then do a complete hair-replugging to get the colors spot on, but you can get a fairly serviceable style with some clever comb-over work. |
