Yeah he isn't great at drawing bodies but I'm gonna stick with it being fine considering he really only draws stuff where you look at it to get a quick laugh. The face plays a huge part in carrying the implications and feeling of a scene over to the viewer.

If all you're looking for is something that looks nice that you can admire then the artists you suggested are obviously superior, but in the end we're all here for cheap laughs, right? Sorry guys, all this talk of background ponies has made me secretly wish for MLP FIM Tales.

Except instead of being shit like the original MLP tales, these could go over the Popular Background ponies (about one pony per episode, at least to start with), with the Mane cast maybe taking background duties (running around doing what they do, or maybe having a mlp episode adventure in the background)

Obviously the debute episode is Luna oriented, all about how exactly the events recounted in the pilot episode happened as they did (imagine filly Celestia and Luna scenes, maybe a scene where Luna is heartbroken that nobody apparently cares for her nights, how whatever force made her NMM whispered poisons thoughts into her ears during the long nights alone - and bonus points if Luna accidently summoned it during a night via a shooting star or something), how she's now intergrating into society after 1000 years and maybe secretley dealing with whatevers left of what took her over in the first place (face it, a scene with Celestia and Luna teaming up to kick some unknown evil entity arse would be amazing). Would also be a oppertunity to actually flesh out Celestia's private life a little.


then obviously the episodes would rotate around the rest of the popular background characters like Derpy and Dinky episode, Bon Bon and Lyria episode, Maybe a Parents Evening episode to flesh out some of the background fillies (probably have CMC in background just to give us a teaser of who's supposed to be looking after them as parents/guardians.)...

You get the picture. This could go on and be it's own spin-off thing and be resonably received.

The episode starts off with the Cutie Mark Crusaders in Applejack's barn, practicing a new musical number. Before the opening credits, it looks to be another 'Show Stoppers' deal, but once it gets back, Sweetie Belle offers to get some materials from Rarity, and runs back home. When she gets there however, Rarity surprises her little sister by telling her 'Mom and Dad are back!'

At first, she's excited, but then the parents let her know that during their latest long world-wide trip, they've finally decided to settle down in Whinnypeg. Sweetie Belle's a bit sad they won't stay in Ponyville, but will love to see them up there. 'But that's the best part,' her parents tell her, 'we've found a wonderful school there, so you can live with us proper! No need to keep bunking with your grown-up sister, Rarity of course will stay here, as her business is just starting, and...'

Sweetie Belle is slow, but she's not that slow. She understands exactly what this means to her friends, and she runs off into the woods behind Rarity's house. Rarity quickly goes after her, and finds her crying by an old log, as she knows she won't see her friends again anymore. Rarity coaxes her back home, trying to tell her it'll be all right, and she won't be moving for a few weeks, plenty of time to say goodbye proper.

A final date for Sweetie Belle's departure is set, which is actually two days after the next talent show that the musical act was to take place. Sweetie Belle doesn't tell her friends she's going though, and acts like nothing's the matter. She meets up with each of the other main 5 and asks for their advice. Rainbow Dash says some stuff about making new friends where you go, Fluttershy starts tearing up at Sweetie Belle's story, Applejack is no help, Twilight Sparkle and Spike really never had deep friends in Canterlot, and have nothing to say either, and Pinkie Pie sings a bubbly cutesy tune about saying goodbye to friends that doesn't help at all.

Finally, a few days before the rehearsal, the other two cutie mark crusaders pick up on the fact that Sweetie Belle's leaving. A hour or so before the show, they confront her about it, and she gets in a fight with them over it, and accidentally trips over their equipment in the barn, and sets the thing on fire. Sweetie Belle gets out, assuming the other two are behind her, but looks back and sees that they aren't. The rest of the family's waiting in Ponyville, and Sweetie Belle realizes she can't get to the rest in time, so she grabs a hose and a handpump, douses some flames to make a new entrance, and busts in to rescue her friends.

She finds the two passed out, slightly oxygen starved, and starts to pull them out to safety, but the barn collapses, and Sweetie Belle screams. Her unicorn powers kick in, and the scream acts like a shockwave, and blows away the falling debris. It's at this point that Applejack steps outside to see where the others are, and realizes the barn's on fire, and runs back horrified.

She gets on stage in place of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and sings an alternate version of Pinkie Pie's song, adding in some personal changes, and a better tempo. Everyone loves it, except Pinkie Pie, who thinks she's messing up the pitch and everything. Twilight Sparkle quickly darts her an evil eye, and Pinkie shuts up. Sweetie Belle finishes, and the crowd responds with cheers and applause. Sweetie Belle is awarded first prize.

She then takes some of the after-reception cake and cookies to the hospital, and hangs out with the other two cutie mark crusaders, and apologizes for not telling them sooner, and that she was scared about telling them, but they're okay with it, and the two share old stories together. Finally, a few hours pass, and the two have to spend the night, but as Sweetie Belle is leaving, Scootaloo points to her flank in shock: SWEETIE BELLE HAS HER CUTIE MARK! It's a silhouette of a lion with a few musical notes, representing her inner courage, and song.
