06/30/11(Thu)03:54 No.27284066>>27283884 Haha, when I first started drawing and posting here, I worried more about finding a happy medium between my style and the show's.
Every single time I draw a pony and tried to force myself to draw the giant wide set eyes that dont sink into the skull at all, I found myself caring less and less.
I have been drawing for years though, so maybe I'm better equipped to say "fuck it" when throwing someone else's style out of the window and imposing my own, haha.
Honestly, if you're trying to break out of a style then I suggest you start looking at real horses (and horse skeletons) and draw those. And also draw the ponies in the styles of other shows you like. The former will give you a solid foundation as an artist, and the latter will help you loosen up when drawing cartoon ponies.
>>27283937 I'm impressed. Captcha oc pony would be ridiculous.
>>27283919 When I take commissions, (I dont take them often) I charge $12 an hour, and adjust accordingly to how long something takes me. So like >>27283287 would have probably have been anywhere $8-15ish. I didn't pay attention to how long that took, though, so I couldn't give an exact example. |
