>>27255218 Check out Twi's legs. Looks a bit like a sausage with sticks poking out of the front. Couple things need to be done there. First, they need to be much wider. For reference, in this pose, her right foreleg would most likely obscure most of her left. They could also be scooted forward a good bit. Note also the initial bend. Despite their marshmallowy status, the ponies do have a joint structure, which dictates where their limbs actually move. For reference, the first joint on the leg proper is nearly halfway down the leg. Think about your arm when you're considering bend points. Shoulder to elbow, elbow to wrist, wrist to first knuckle, first knuckle to second knuckle, and so on. The bend gets less distinct as the limb goes down, but there's still one there. One last bit on the legs: the hind leg is squeezing in just a tad too much, or at least the front of it is swooping in a tad too early. Think of the top of the flank as an oblong ovoid shape from which the leg extends when you're drawing it. I know that's probably not much to go on, but whatever.
Anyway, I've attached one of those guides I mentioned earlier. It might help illustrate some of what I'm talking about. It's great for the leg bit, though the 'full body' sketches in the top left feel just a bit squashed horizontally. Check a few other guides, as well as referencing images from the show. |
