She's done some good interior design work in Cloudsdale in the interim, but it's just not the same. She is TOTALLY alright with looking fabulous with her knew wing-slit dresses, however.

I went to a local furmeet last night (backyard barbecue hosted at someone's house). I took the first eight episodes with me on a flash drive, hoping to get some time on the big screen TV.

Instead I was told by my furry friends we wouldn't be watching it at all. When I asked if anyone wanted to pull out a laptop so we could watch, no one wanted to.

As I walked around the party, I asked several if they'd watched "Friendship is Magic" yet.

Most of them hadn't even heard of it.

Of those who had seen it, half liked it. Exactly three people there were already fans, and one was me. One of the remaining two wore an RBD t-shirt, and the other was a girl.

One of those who didn't like it was a diehard G1 fan. He said the new series doesn't have enough villains or battles, and with no Megan as an audience stand-in, he had no reason to watch it.

tl;dr - out of sixty furries at the barbecue, two besides me were fans of MLP:FiM.

Everyone who brought a fursuit (about 1/4) put it on after dinner, and the entire furmeet took group photos. (One of the 'suits was Pedobear.) Then we dispersed, the 'suiters turned human again, and we continued eating and chatting for the rest of the evening. There were jokes about "furpiles" which no one took seriously.

There were Jello shots around ten o'clock, but there were various alcoholic beverages available the entire time. No one got bombed (unlike last time). Someone passed around the "Draw Furries" book they got at Hastings; it's pretty comprehensive, but sorely lacking on cartoony quadrupeds.

Basically, it was just a backyard party.
