The day drew to a close, ending yet another exciting day in Ponyville for Twilight Sparkle. She has so much to tell the princess about today and is brimming with excitement, eager to write her a letter. If there's one thing that bitches loves more than receiving letters, it's writing them, or rather, having your dragon slave write them for you.
But Twilight noticed something: She always starts off her letters with "Dear Princess Celestia", followed by something about friendship and why it's great and yadda yadda yadda. She feels that she has fallen into a rut. To break up the routine of everyday letter writing, she remembers that Celestia gave her as a going away present. She uses her magic to take out a box hidden in her desk drawer. It read "Oblique Strategies" on the side, written with gold paint. She removes the cards in the container and brings the pile over the Spike for shuffling.
"Alright, Spike. Take any card from any place in the deck. No matter what it is, I will implement it in my letter today."
Spike slides out a thin piece of cardboard halfway down the deck. He turns it face up and reads it out loud: "Don't be frightened of clichés".
She frowned and her ears drooped. "But that's what all of my letters are!" She let out a sigh and Spike began penning.
"…in conclusion, menstrual synchrony is, in fact, possible thanks to the magic of friendship. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.
"Send it, Spike."
A green flame engulfed the letter. Spike wasn't quite sure what he had written for Twilight, and figured it was best not to ask. Maybe if he remembered in the morning, he'd inquire about it. Twilight, seeing Spike head off to his bed, figured that it was getting late and it would be best to do likewise. |
