Trixie, Luna, Background Ponies getting some more recognition like Derpy did.

More subtle "shoutouts" to the fans. Like BG Ponies being referenced by their fanon names (Lyra, Bon-Bon, etc), or a curious blue wagon parked in the middle of Ponyville of which the Doctor Whooves background pony steps out of in the background.

But really most of all I just hope it keeps the same flair that the first season did, what with all the changes to the staff they've been making (Animators not being on for S2, Lauren stepping down from Exec Producer to Consulting Producer).

Big musical numbers. We got 3.5 last season (Winter Wrap-Up, Art of the Dress, and At the Gala. The CMC song doesn't really count since they made it bad on purpose). I definitely don't need a big song every episode, but I wouldn't mind seeing six or eight over the course of the season.

The CMC. Actually, any of Ponyville's youth Snails can stay--I have a soft spot for Equestria's only Canadian. If that means I have to keep Snips too, I'll still manage.
