 My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is so stuck up it's own ass that it's impossible to watch. The writing style is horrible, adding moral after moral for the sake of morals doesn't make for good storytelling, and the whole thing is aimless as fuck--it's designed to meander for as long as humanly possible to appeal to it's childish audience. The art is actually bad. Really, really bad, and it makes me wonder why Problem Solverz gets so much shit from the same people who fantasize about being impregnated by pink marshmallow ponies.
Despite all this, MLP: FIM has the worst fanbase out there, possibly even worse than Homestruck and the people who want to suck off Shadow the Hedgehog. It's more of a cult than anything else, or a social experiment in how to manipulate those who don't interact with other humans on a regular basis. They can't seem to comprehend that people aren't as obsessed with as childish and girly a cartoon as they are, and coat themselves in hyperbole blankets and plug their ears when reality comes knocking.
Thankfully, MLP: FIM isn't important outside of nerd circles on the internet, so I don't have to hear about it unless I'm on /co/. |
