I agree with your basic interpretation, SB, and I thought the whole part with Rarity was great. The whole scene with her seemed like she was trying to be more mature than she was, acting sultry and smoky but not anywhere as confident and experienced as she pretended to be, sort of in over her head or out of her league, full of hesitation and doubt when the moment of truth came but not really wanting to back out.
The AJ/Mac part was also really good, well written, lots of FEELINGS, though the turnabout from "angry" to "fuck me" was a little quick and abrupt. The lingering build up and the constant hesitation and stalling before the act helped a lot, and the descriptions of the somewhat unromantic reality of the act itself was detached enough to be affecting to the scene without making it seem clinical or sterile.
It's honestly one of the best ponyfics I've ever read, certainly the best clopfic and the best Applecest one, which I guess is why I even care that it ended with such a sobering, depressing "everyone's life is ruined now" ending.
Plus I'm just not into pregnancy as a kink so maybe it's just me.
But you should totally write more shit like this in general |
