Quickfic - Snowy

Bright and early the next cold and snowy morning, they bundled back up and headed out: Twilight, Fluttershy, and Spike to the School, and the other four to see the sights. This was, after all, a vacation.
"Seeya at lunchtime," said Applejack as they parted.
At the front desk of the Archaeology Department, Twilight rang the bell. A snooty-looking unicorn with a thin mustache answered. "May I help you?"
"Yes, I'm Twilight Sparkle from Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. I'm here to pick up a scroll from Professor Nettle Topaz, please."
"Ah, Ms. Sparkle," said another unicorn, rounding the corner. He was a short grey stallion, with thinning hair and half-moon glasses.
He had a scroll tube levitating next to him. "I'm glad I caught you in person. I wanted to explain some of the scroll's functions and historical context."
Spike sighed. "Fluttershy, can we go somewhere? This is gonna take forever."
"Um, okay, if it's okay with Twilight," said Fluttershy, shuffling a forehoof.
"Sure," said Twilight, already distracted by the scroll, lifting and putting down her left hind leg in annoyance, "Just don't go too far."
"Thanks, Twilight!" said Spike, excited. He bounced out of the building with Fluttershy right behind him. |
