The two pegasi introduce themselves proper as Rainbow Dash's Parents, from Salt Lick City. Rainbow Sherbet and Cling Clang, (voiced respectively by Sandy Duncan and Weird Al Yankovich.) are stopping by to check up on their daughter while their home's fumigated for parasprites. And of course, they're the antithesis of what everything Rainbow Dash thinks is cool. Bee bonnet hair, zelda glasses, pearl necklaces, frizzy curly manes, pouch protector saddles, and snorting. Snorting everywhere.
Rainbow Dash keeps running across town in the hopes they'll just go back to her house and wait there, so she can go see the Wonderbolts alone, and try to forget them. Meanwhile though, they keep catching up, and actually get along well with the other 5, like Sherbert discussing designers with Rarity, and Pinkie Pie having an accordion duel with Cling Clang. Finally Rainbow Dash accidentally leads them straight to the Wonderbolts stadium, and finally tells them that she thinks they're just cramping her style and that she doesn't like them, the usual 'you see kids, have you figured out who's wrong here yet?' stuff, and then they walk off, disheartened, while Rainbow Dash tries to watch the show.
Of course, while watching, she starts to feel bad, and then flies back to apologize, as Soaren realizes that Rainbow Dash is back, and points it out to Spitfire.
She goes back and says she's sorry to them, and that's she was putting her status over her parents, and they're all 'we still love you' and then Soaren shows up and says 'Chugster?'
Turns out Cling Clang and Soaren went to the same Fraternity, and are old buddies, while Sherbert designed some of the clothes for the Wonderbolts. Rainbow Dash then thinks her parents ARE cool, and they all get together, Twilight writes a letter, blah blah the end. |
