Listen, I'm not your friend. We share an interest in a television show. There's a big difference.
Going around and equating mutual interest with genuine friendship is just one of the many creepy things about Ponychan. Why? Because it's at best insincere and at worst a demonstration of genuine emotional problems.
I don't know when the pony fans on /b/ decided that the show was entirely about "love and tolerance," and I really don't know when (ostensibly) grown adults decided that they need to interpret their interpersonal relationships through the lens of that vast over-simplification of the message of a children's program, but it's fucking stupid. And the implication that there is something wrong with _me_ when I don't want to pretend that I'm just besties with you is fucking offensive.
And that is the base supposition of every dumbfuck who bans or bitches on ponychan for not spewing the same garbage about friendship, as well as the mewling horde that continues to espouse such a bullshit paradigm in its actions and words: "You are evil and a neighsayer because you won't pretend that we're buddies."
I like this show because it has some very well-done animation and voice-acting. It is, altogether, an amusing television program. It is not a guide for my life, nor should it be for yours.
tl;dr - I don't like ponychan because it is filled with some really creepy peeps, and not in a fun way |
