>>26249521 Oh, let me count the ways. Trixie's only a one-episode character (as far as season 1's concerned; season 2's still up in the air) and has had absolutely zero planned merchandise, but the amount of effort they went in to make her a unique and identifiable character is astounding. She got her own unique cutie mark, outfit, wagon, hairstyle, and even voice actress. They could've recycled a background pony to make her, but instead they made her own specific flash build. And her voice acting is great too.
Then there's the character herself. She's boastful, of course, but that's something of her charm. She's loud, in-your-face with her attitude. She thinks she's hot shit and she's going to make you KNOW it. And she's got more redeeming qualities compared to Gilda from the previous episode. Trixie didn't immediately leave Ponyville once the Ursa showed up. She stood her ground and at least gave an effort to get rid of the thing, and later admitted openly that she made her entire story up. Gilda, on the other hand, just bitched at everyone and got even more bitchy when Rainbow Dash called her out.
And then, as I mentioned many, many threads ago, she's kind of Twilight's opposite. Twilight could've ended up very much like Trixie if she let her power get to her and remained friendless; look at Twilight in episode one and compare her to how much more humble she's gotten since then.
Plus, Trixie's adorable.
