>>25938415 They'd torn the Cutie Mark right off his side. We all found him the next day. It was the day we knew everything was going to go to hell. You can't just let somebody die in Ponyville, Hell, Equestria was known for being a place where death was something that just...didn't happen.
We had the attention of none other than her majesty. Yeah, Celestia herself saw that an earth pony was murdered on the very same day. Weird coincidence, don't you think?
She came down from her palace, guards and everything. It was a sight. Everyone in Ponyville was touched. 'cept me, being stubborn and "cold hearted?" Yeah, that's what they called me after the next speech I gave I think.
She was there to lament the death of Clops? Apparently she saw what was happening as terrible, and had been watching from her castle as I incited everyone. She'd heard a whole lot more about it than I thought, and she seemed to be pretty sympathetic.
Even though the ceremony was to honor Clops, bless his soul, she also talked to me, once in public to tell me that I had some awfully noble beliefs, not that it mattered, I could taste the hate in the air. Then, afterward, she talked to me in private, she asked me something that boiled my blood. She asked me if I wanted a damned Cutie Mark.
Apparently there's some way of creating the ILLUSION of a Cutie Mark, even when it hasn't shown. Sure, it wouldn't be real, but it'd be an image.
I almost hit her.
Yeah, I almost hit nobility. Would have been the end of me and everyone who followed me, though. So I didn't. No, instead, I just told her "No, your majesty. I would prefer to choose my own path." I then bowed and walked away.
On that same day, I would almost be killed. Twice. |
