We were forty strong since we had gone public. Ponies willing to change from what they were doing, the folks real pissed with what their flanks told them to do: the janitors, the crafters, farmers, hell, even a professor or two, were the ones flocking to me. Unsatisfied, they heard my clarion call and understood it for what it was:

Still, it was a damned shame what they did to ol' Clops.
Clops. Weird name for a pony, when you think about it. But then again, we all have some strange names, don't we?
He was a smart one, but he was a little too hot-headed. Started preaching everywhere he went. Yelling in the middle of the night, telling folks about how we were all trapped in some system.
Two days after that speech that got him fired up, I found him dead. |
