You know, I've thought about the thing with Celestia and friends too, but it's naturally lonely at the top. Distance makes you appear powerful. It lets you make mistakes and correct them, and it causes you to look omniscient because nobody is aware you made a mistake in the first place. The minute you start letting people in on your feelings and daily concerns, you lose power.

It's the same with having a romantic partner, especially an immortal one like what's been talked about. Celestia more or less has to live of a life of isolation to be a good ruler, especially if she's been at it as a self-proclaimed god for centuries. It's kind of a curse.

You have to use Dos-box

Remember to run it from the CD/ISO. Installing it just causes problems and is a bitch to configure.

If you don't want to deal with Dos-box you could just watch a LP on Youtube. Only most of them have commentary over it which takes away some of the atmosphere of playing the game in the dark and trying to figure it out on your own (or with a friend who's played part of it)

Well... I guess you can't rule out Twilight as a potential future mate for Celestia. That would be an ineterestic shipping fic, maybe.

But honestly, Twilight as probably has potential as a political rival. If she shows the potency to gain immortality or even god-like status, then Celestia gains from being close to the girl. She always knows what Twilight is up to and what she's planning. It's practical.

You can't go around executing ponies that threatens your stability. Things must change, and the ponies probably want to see change. So better to foster Twilight than anything. Romance is happy, fuzzy times, though.

Sometimes I think it's a rare person who finds this sort of stuff truly fascinating. I've got all these books on political stuff and history, but the only person who ever wants to talk about it much is my dad. I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING HIM!

Thanks. This one? There were some imperfections and I didn't feel like correcting anyway, so they show up less when shrunk. I'm also not good with large drawings, they come out shaky (specially on a trackpad). Usually I start with a 10 x 10 cm blank image at 300 dpi, with some exceptions to special projects.

In my large, color ones I notice a bunch of errors and blurs, so I totally shrink them. Maybe later if I master the tablet I'll try more large stuff.

Right now I'm working on a 30 x 30 cm color one, but I'll have to see how it turns out to see if I can post it like that. Anyway, it would be difficult to visualize.

Eh, sounds good, ill see if i can do something like that, but to be honest i just basically work in 4 layers, the rough sketch layer, a more refined sketch layer on top of the first, a rough color one on the bottom of them with the basic color scheme and lastly the top layer in wich i paint over all of em.

Regarding the settings, i just dick around with persistence, density, blending and dilution settings of the basic set of brushes my version of sai came with.
