Oh sorry guys, I was taking a shit.
Anyway this dipshit sheriff showed up at my house about two weeks ago because one of my dogs had gotten loose and the neighbors had called the police (I'm outside the city limits, that's why the county sheriff showed up). Got the dog back inside and the fucker left, then like fifteen minutes later someone starts knocking at the door and I assume it's the neighbors, and I don't feel like talking to them.
Nope, it was the sheriff. Apparently he expected me to apologize to the neighbors with him present. Showed up Sunday and ARRESTED ME for "lack of courtesy to a police officer" and for the dog being loose. Paid $300 for bail.
The case was bullshit from the start, the JUDGE HIMSELF said "wait, since when is lack of courtesy against the law?" I looked into that charge and it can ONLY be applied when a police officer is flashing their lights behind you and you keep driving. As for the dog being loose, A) it's not my dog, it legally belongs to my parents, and B) the charge only applies if I INTENTIONALLY let them loose. He managed to bend the spring in the clip (he was chained outside, we're saving up for a fence but chain-link won't work for dogs as big as ours so it's pretty fucking expensive).
So yeah, both charges immediately dropped. If he shows up again without a warrant I'm going to tell him to get the fuck off my property before I call the state troopers for criminal trespass. |
