She's always had plenty of concept ideas for shows of her own. But she could'nt find anyone willing to sponsor them and took the My little Pony Job instead. (She likes MLP but hates the toy industry.)

Because of her success on MLP she will probably be able to find someone willing to fund one of her own ideas.
Obviously that is also part of the reason she will spend less time on MLP. That show works by itself now, and with her huge recognition it's a good place for her to try once again to push her own show ideas.

I like to think that most of her work was about establishing the setting and characters. With the fundamentals in place there was no longer a need for her. And the momentum opened up other opportunities for her own ideas.
