This is pretty much the case all over the Fan Base atm. "Lauren Faust is leaving, OMG the show will be RUINED without her!"

This is most likely not the case, as Faust's involvement over-all was pretty small after the initial pilot episode. If you check the wiki, she only ever wrote 3 episodes in total. Since then she's just been there guiding the production team.

She isn't completely leaving either, just stepping down to a less taxing position. I think the most important thing to note is that she's still their On-call Consultant for Scripting and Story Concepts. THAT'S the most important part of this show, the story is its heart, its core. So long as Faust's team sticks with her vision and doesn't let Hasbro bully them into changing too much I'm confident the show can keep going far.

Honestly, you should not be worried that Faust won’t be as directly involved in the second season. Most of episodes weren’t written by her after all. She also didn’t direct any, and hasn’t written one since episode 3.

She laid the groundwork for the series, and the team has been using said work perfectly up to this point, and i can’t see the team of writers and directors and artists just changing at the drop of a hat at this point.
