Listening to that Gala song again, it's really something that belongs to a high-budget feature length musical animation, not a tv series that's shafted into an unfortunate timeslot.
The ensemble, the chorus, the music changes to fit for every character and their own personality from Rarity's regal tune to Dash's riffing music. We've had a taste of the production team's musical offering in the earlier episodes, but damn.

Heck even other series that has a musical episode stick to synthesizers, they just went all out on this one. Kudos to the team, a splendid way to end the episode.

so here's to future episodes, which is apparently coming in December. At least I have Game of Thrones to occupy my time during this drought.
